Ed Wakefield

Ed Wakefield – Feelbetter at Failbetter 25/06 – 13/07/2018

You must change your life. ~ Rainer Maria Rilke

In a set of three performance events, Ed will be taking you on an autobiographical journey that is a curious blend of sadness, madness and ultimately (we hope) gladness. If you can’t attend in person it will be broadcast on FB Live. Either way it will be the juicy bit at the end of your proverbial fork.

Performance One: Edward the Confessor

Performance Two – The Bae Who Tapestry

First there was a sweaty confessional from King Ed, now get ready for round two of three from the ‘Svelte Brian Blessed.’

In a scene that may well resemble the Bayeux Tapestry, Ed will be illustrating and narrating simultaneously, drawing from his considerable backlog of stories and improvisational impishness finely tuned over the years.

As before we will be going LIVE on the night so keep your eyes peeled and prepare for the feels. All of them. Deep down in the feels.

Performance Three – The Gordian Knot

First there was anxiety, and a King in a codpiece. Then there were stories of putrid meatballs and piss filled perfume bottles. Now Ed is taking it back to where it all began. The diaries. Since 1997 Ed has been writing his memoirs: unconventional, radical and often nonsensical, join the ‘Soil King’ as he recites select diary entries from (almost) 21 years of feverish writing.

Remember when it’s hot, it’s time to chop the knot…
